My career advice:
-Treat everyone in publishing like people.
-Avoid anyone who bristles at being treated like normal.
-Read and support your peers.
-Finish your stories.
-Submit your stories.
-Promote your published work *more than once*.
-Don't let an LLM do your research for you.

The reason I focus on writing advice over career advice is because there is a very real reason professionals are often asked "How did you get into the industry?"
Because everyone's story is different.

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. Each year, the trans community loses too many lives, especially trans women of color, to hate and violence.
More than ever, we must stand by our trans family and support them, hold space for them, and insist the scapegoating and targeting stop.
