Imagine watching one of the most disturbing stories of child trafficking and rape of young girls by powerful white cis men and thinking “this inspires me to spend even more time focusing my energy on shouting about the menace of trans women” … oh, while we’re here

I bought & read the series on release & remember enjoying it while recognising that it doesn't hit the heights of Spider-Man 2099.
I posted about X-Men 2099 last year to say that, unusually for an X book, it doesn't seem to get referenced or revisited. Marvel will pull from almost any mutant title.

Just hearing we've lost Sal Buscema, an absolute giant of comics and one of the true greats. His long run on Spectacular Spider-Man is as good as mainstream comics get. RIP to a genuine master.

Just getting you all used to seeing this so that, when it gets solicited, you'll be able to order it.
You're welcome. 🙂
Psst! Almost finished work on 'StarHenge 2: A Kiss For Atticus'. No date for publication yet, but I'll keep you posted!

One of the most important comics I was fortune enough to pitch and write. You can read more about our upcoming addition to the Star Trek franchise as we celebrate 60 years of dreaming toward a better today and tomorrow by remembering the past.

We all have a role to play in the revolution 🖖

Logic, reasoning, how to rationally assess evidence... these should be taught in schools. It's too easy to convince people of things that aren't true.

I'd love to be able to say that this isn't true, but...

It's new comic book day, so I'm stopping in anyway on the way home from work.

I've never heard of this before, but I now need it.

Steve Dillon did some early work on Marvel UK's Blake's 7 comic strip and I think it's excellent.

2025 is dead. The rise of 2026 begins now.

And that’s it. Thanks to anyone who read or even vaguely interacted with these posts. Much appreciated. I answered the question I wanted to. I actually managed to do 365 of these one per day (more or less). Might not seem like much, but it is to me. Might still do comic posts, but not every day.

Evey was a better person, but V was necessary. You can cheer V on, but you really want Evey to be around when the sound of the explosions has faded and the dust has settled.
I unapologetically, love V For Vendetta and I’m glad I ended A-Comic-A-Day with it.

They saw it as justified, but neither Luthan nor V were unaware of what they were or what they were doing. They knew they were fighting for a world in which they would not fit. They knew that it would take others to carry on afterwards, to rebuild. For V, that person was Evey.

In Andor, the rebel leader Luthan Rael, played superbly by Stellan Skarsgård, was, I thought, very much like V. They saw the need for change and fought hard for that change using, to say the least, questionable means.

More recently, I was reminded of V while watching the Star Wars series, Andor. [Some Andor spoilers ahead]
