reading up on singapore since i know a few people from there (hi @kirancodes.me) and don't know anything about it.
one surprising thing to me: all 3 people i know from there have brown skin and i think are Indian ethnicity based on names. stats show only 9% of singapore is Indian.

was worried that i needed to pay a big "real estate excise tax" on the home purchase, but then saw online that the seller pays the tax not the buyer. YES!
so of course i need to use the extra money to pay for fixes to the 10 million minor things wrong with our 1941 house.
