Rushed Mozart to the emergency vet this afternoon. Got home from my shift and he was lying in a puddle of his own drool with really labored breathing and coughing.
The poor guy has keenel cough and pneumonia, but I'm just so thankful it wasn't bloat. I was worried I was going to lose him today.

Today, as I am closing in on my one-year anniversary of returning to dog handling later this month, I'm struck with such immense gratitude.
To the owners of the daycare- for giving me a chance to come back and do the thing that I love the most in the whole world, loving and caring for dogs.

Just finished Pokemon Legends Z-A, and no spoilers, but it got very weird, very quickly. Really jarring pacing.
Other than the pacing feeling off though, I REALLY enjoyed the game, and I'm super excited for all the shiny hunting and upcoming DLC.

I would give anything to hear my mom say she's proud of me. That she loves me as her daughter, but I know that will never happen.

All while trying to keep the ball players adequately entertained.

In therapy today, I had to confront the belief that living my authentic life as my trans self causes real pain for my mother, and that no contact may be the compassionate choice for both of us and I'm struggling with that.
She's never been particularly interested in getting to know the real me.
