@lewisbaston.bsky.social does very insightful write-ups for by-elections for OnLondon. High turnout for a by-election, LibDem winner got higher number of votes than in the full council election in 2022 (despite lower overall turnout). All very interesting details:

If Labour thinks it would be clever to curb overseas students as a way of appeasing Reform voters over migration, it should think again. Writing for OnLondon, @richardbrown.bsky.social set out why those students matter. And it isn't only about money: www.onlondon.co.uk/richard-brow...
Richard Brown: Curbs on foreign students will damage the UK
Tightening immigration restrictions for students would damage the capital's soft power and undermine one of the UK’s biggest export success stories

This is a brilliant idea.
I put together a list of books for young people who want to see the world clearly. All qualify for #ReadItForward which means 10% of books sold go towards the BookTrust and Scottish Book Trust (before the end of Feb) - uk.bookshop.org/lists/books-...

On LBC this morning, I spoke about why we should be far more worried the power Elon Musk is accruing, especially in light of his Open AI moves.

The normalisation of his actions and activity by quite a bit of the US and even UK media is a big part of the problem. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGnt...

Elon Musk is starting to risk getting Jess Phillips killed. She's been safeguarding minister for six months. She oversaw nothing relating to the rape gangs. As an opposition MP she was one of the most prominent campaigners for the victims.

What he's doing is a travesty.
