Germany (ranks 11th/ 171 countries) leads the #G7 and is joined in the top tier by two newer members of the European Union: Slovenia (16th) and Estonia (17th).

The United States (32nd) has shown a decline since 2011.

STUDY released today and based on a measure called the Social Progress Index suggests that in terms of quality of life, the U.S. now ranks 32nd out of 171 countries, behind Poland, Lithuania and Cyprus, and falling.
