Clarification #RVA, children went missing from Fishersville in Augusta County. They are believed to be with their biological mother and are considered to be in extreme danger. Although Augusta County is pretty far away, it's reasonable to believe they could be in this area.

We usually think of Cyperaceae as having small, wind-pollinated flowers, but Rhynchospora latifolia has gone in for insect pollination via pseudanthia. The showy, white bits subtending the spikelets are bracts. #pseudanthia #Cyperaceae #botany 🌾🧪🌱
