The Reyes Ruiz Lab is opening in 2026 at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in the Department of Pathobiological Sciences. My lab will focus on host antibacterial effectors and adaptation of bacteria to host-imposed stress during S. aureus infections.

New preprint on some of my dissertation work.

Can’t do this without an amazing team of collaborators or mentor.

Herein we use a genetically resistant mouse model to explore small intestinal colonization resistance to S. Tm, and the ability of diet to overcome genetic resistance.
