I fell into the lap of a generational family business, and before I worked full time, I had not found it difficult to find a part time job in my late teens and early 20s. From telemarketing to gas station register to wine bottler. I realize my situation is not the norm I empathize with your struggle
I always think to when I was 16 and my mom told me to get a job. I applied everywhere. Zero responses.
Mom tells me to call where I applied so they know I’m serious.
I call one place and the person asks for my name. I hear some clicks and they thanked me before saying I had been blacklisted.

Yeah it was a fun 30 years. My mom got paid 6 figures for writing one-page press releases. My dad had a pension. You simply could not make them understand that their world is gone.

I'm not buying it I don't believe it is funny. The "c slur" memes that go around. Yes AI is bad but linguistically the word is proving an outlet or thinly veiled expression of racial undertones.
