I still remember when execs tried to trick us into thinking games were gonna be cheaper to purchase on digital storefronts, because they didn't have the cost of manufacturing the physical editions.
You could probably count the amount of games that have actually done that on 1 hand.

Every time a publisher does this, I just look at it and go, yeah, you can charge that, but I'm not going to pay it. Let it rot on the shelf until it gets marked down for clearance -- or sit in the digital storefront until someone does a flash sale.
