Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.

Not generally a Ronald Reagan fan but he was right about tariffs. Canada is a good neighbor, has been for years but especially now is that friend who points out when we are in a relationship with a narcissistic economically illiterate baby.

Trump says he’s ending trade talks with Canada over TV ads
President Donald Trump is complaining again about Canada because of recent television ads protesting U.S. tariffs, which he calls “egregious behavior” aimed at influencing U.S. court decisions.

Wow. Sidney Reid, the DC woman just found not guilty of assaulting an FBI agent, issues a withering and gutsy statement on Trump through her attorneys.

"I feel sorry for the prosecutors really, who must be burdened by Trump's irrational and unfounded hatred for his fellow man."

It's a must-read:

On Day 8 of the Republican shutdown I want to be clear: Democrats are still here. We are still at the table. And we are still ready to work together on a deal to reopen the government and address this health care crisis.

People from across the political spectrum need to join together to condemn political violence, no matter who the target it is. It’s never acceptable.

I condemn Charlie Kirk’s murder. Political violence has no place in the U.S. It is sickening. I extend condolences to Charlie Kirk’s family as they grieve this tragic loss.

We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.

So much heart:
Before Wednesday night's game in Toronto between their Blue Jays vs our Minnesota Twins, the whole stadium, (42,000+), observed a moment of silence for the victims of the mass shooting at Annunciation Church and School in south Minneapolis.
Thank you Canada!

Since we passed the Affordable Care Act, Republicans have tried over and over to repeal it. And over and over, they’ve failed — in part because millions of people now depend on the ACA for quality, affordable health care.

Correct but that list of crimes needs to be much longer: Epstein, Jan 6, lying to congress, defying judges….
