Not sure how this will fly on a 🔞profile, but here's probably one of the most innocent pieces I've ever done featuring the li'l version of my Catgirl OC Kylie meeting a mascot based on her favorite giant movie monster while at one of them non-studio specific theme parks.
Made out to resemble a photo taken at a theme park, a small catgirl with purple hair in pigtails and glasses [Kylie] stands with a mascot of Daikorra, an in-universe movie Godzilla surrogate. The mascot is kneeling behind her as they hold each of the small girl's hands, both facing the camera. On the bottom right is the artist's signature along with the shark avatar with a disinterested to disgruntled look on their face as kids harass him.

Posting a 2020 mini-comic I did featuring @chaztheweasel.bsky.social's Mamabito recounting the story of how her son Leif got his name.

Y'all remember VG Cats? This commission was a joy to do, as it brought me right back to the days of the early internet when webcomics were the hot new thing haha. What a simpler time!

Sums up pretty much why everything from attempting art to whatever my day job at the time is stresses me the hell out to the point of feeling mostly burnt out much of the time.

Found this on the AO3 subreddit, and I'm about to let it change my whole life (or at least work really hard to internalize it wrt my writing).
Someone's screenshot of a two-post twitter thread, from user blue (@bluewmist): the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much. you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.
