I have a baby who is a bad sleeper and let me tell you the answer is not anything you can buy or do or read to MAKE a very young baby a better sleeper. It is two parents on leave (or two full time caregivers in whatever arrangement). That is it.

My TON story: I was teaching grad students in science writing when TON started up. The more I read it, the more I wondered why the grad students were paying tuition when TON offered a nearly the masters' education for free. I mean, FREE. And solidly good.

I gave birth a month ago and the most important thing I have learned is that EXTREME SHAKING DURING A C-SECTION IS NORMAL. No one told me or someone did and I forgot. Anyway I thought I was having a nervous breakdown; if I can spare one person from the shock of it this post will have done its part.
