Husband, pastor, father (of kids too), dog owner ( #husky ), food enjoyer (husky also applies), reader, sometimes writer, LOTR enthusiast, generally affable guy.

Just to be clear. If it were a Seafood Sensation sub this would have been a VERY different outcome. That stuff is still locked in a bunker somewhere.

I would watch a slapstick show starring Sean Dunn making fools of ICE agents and thwarting schemes. Let's ask someone to make Hoagie's Heroes.

Growing up in the church I was always confused when hearing about how people will be surprised on Judgment Day when God sets the world right. To me Jesus clearly laid out what it takes to be a follower. It's simple, but never easy. How can anyone read the Scriptures and miss it?
These "Christians" use God as a source for victim blaming the poor.

"You must have done something to deserve it."

To avoid accountability for the abuses of the privileged:

"God favors them."

Then the rich are given excuses for their poor behavior - and the poor are given blame for everything.

Church start ups tend to focus more on building up neglected areas. I have enjoyed my time working in church start ups even when not being paid for it. It is inspiring.
And I’ve found this to be true: “After converting, people stop wasting money … and dedicate themselves more to studying or working. As a result, they can testify to how God has changed their lives and helped them leave poverty behind.” 2/2

Jesus said - I send you out as sheep among wolves ... be clever.
This cleverness is a gift of God throughout Scripture.
As when David pretends to be insane (a very effective thing to do in times of trouble)
or how the mother of Moses puts her baby in the Nile per Pharoah's command (but in an ark).

"Would you like some tulip bulbs? The price is a bargain at only one haus!" - some 17th century Dutch merchant probably.
yeah the problem is the history of “we shipped a product and it’s now basically the biggest thing in the world” - which did then happen with ChatGPT - has historically led to similarly massive profits and nobody is prepared for what happens if it doesn’t
i feel like openai showing up with a sketchy non-standard, overly convaluted corporate structure, while claiming they were already worth billions before shipping a single product should have been a red flag.

Can we talk about the Ag. situation? Midwest farmers overwhelmingly voted for this situation. We are just are going to hand them money?!?
Let's think creatively, like what Obama did with car companies but with land and agriculture. That was a successful program where every company paid back.
Except when Trump bankrupts them with tariffs. Then she will say nothing except for asking the rest of the country for welfare to bail them out.

Theology person here; can confirm.
Fun fact about the Rapture….

It wasn’t a thing until 1827, when John Nelson Darby got into a horse riding accident and suddenly he had an idea.

So a bunch of people are really excited about an idea a guy had 198 years ago when he basically got into a fender bender.
