Finally working my way through LAST year's Dragon Con "do this" list by reading Cursed Cocktails by @slrowland.com and what a delight! Can't wait to dig into the others from his series. Also, to make some cocktails.

I’m stuck in Florida so no aurora glory here, but I’m enjoying all the photos and enjoying even more everyone’s excitement! It’s been on my Life List forever; I’d be as giddy as a child that had its first taste of candy if it was me tonight! ❤️

Imagine coming off an incredible Election Day mandate from coast to coast and going 'you know what voters want? to be completely sold out by a bunch of craven cowards too pathetic to hold the line against a bunch of fucking weirdos'

I guess on a, uh, good note, I can’t be more furious with my Florida senators, because they’re both greedy, soulless, Republican lickspittles. If I had a Dem who was folding, I’d reach new levels of incandescent rage that I’d be hard-pressed to bear.

Another wonderful listen on @libro.fm

I had no idea what to expect, but I really enjoyed Greenteeth! So much so that I just burned dinner because I was so engaged in the ending, lol. Worth it.

If you're at Indie Flea Market in St. Pete today, drop by my sister's booth. She upcycles discarded/broken vintage enamel and rhinestone jewelry into unique and beautiful wearable pieces. Sourced, designed & made entirely by a human for other cool humans. No dropshipped junk!

Today is the 7th anniversary of Boring Books for Bedtime. Seven years and I have never missed a Monday. Pandemic, burnout, major family health & money stresses, two industry crashes in my ”real” job, all this nonsense... It has been the one constant because I made it be. That’s kinda awesome.

A new part of my podcast routine is setting up filters to trash each new flood of AI-generated marketing. Looking at you right now, "Cision". I got two dozen emails from this delightful service schilling authors this week—authors I suspect are probably AI, too.

Feh! FEH, I tell you!

This year, any holiday gifting will consist of either handmade crafty things or annual gift subscriptions to various Patreon peeps who do cool things the recipient values. Showing love through creativity is the way.

Lordy, the amount of AI generated requests I’m getting to feature someone or some book on my podcast (a sleep podcast with no interviews called BORING Books for Bedtime) is reaching crazy levels! Up to a dozen a day. I can’t even imagine what famous podcasters must deal with.

It’s hard to explain, but the clear light of fake fall in Florida is such a relief after the heat-dulled air of the past seven months. Everything feels so much less burdened.

I’m gearing up to try a new (to me) litrpg book and I’m so worried that the entire genre has been ruined for me because I started with Dungeon Crawler Carl and loved it so much. Wish me luck!
