I’m excited to announce that I will be opening commissions for this Winter. Because this is my first time opening commissions, I will have only 3 slots open, at least for now. As always, if you’re interested, feel free to reach out in messages or shoot me an email.

New material of Ajkaceratops cements its identity as a ceratopsian, but adds a new wrinkle. It turns out that many european ornithischians previously classified as iguanodontians may actually be ceratopsians! New paper by @tweetisaurus.bsky.social et al., that I provided art for (link in reply).

A charging Tarbosaurus bataar. I painted this piece as an exercise in fullbody black and white art without lines. As usual, I used various brushes. I also practiced painting the ground kicked up by the animal's feet.

A portrait sketch of Cryolophosaurus elliotti, a remarkable theropod from the Early Jurassic of Antarctica. This dinosaur is known for its tuft-shaped crest, positioned above the eyes. It was given informal name "Elvisaurus" due this feature.

First #FossilFriday of 2026: here's #paleoart of Dromaeosaurus atop a half-eaten juvenile Chasmosaurus. Dromaeosaurus was no Velociraptor clone, but a relatively robust and probably hard-biting raptorial dinosaur. Painted... two years ago now, I guess, in 2024. #fossil #paleontology #dinosaur

Starting off 2026 with a commissions announcement! I’ve drawn a few commissioned pieces in the past, but haven’t widely advertised it before. If you would like to fund custom-made drawings from a young artist, contact me and we can discuss all the details. #commissions #paleoart #wildlifeart

Manipuloyx, a new alvarezsaur with really fascinating hands!
The condition of the fingers isn't that unusual for the clade but the OSTEODERMS on the hand are new!

The paper coming out later this week will provide an interesting update on the Hell Creek ecosystem. 🌎 As a teaser, here is a cropped bit of artwork. Any guesses about the topic? Best guess wins some NDGS Paleo stickers!🎉

[Keep quiet any paleontologists that already know about the paper] 😁

For the holiday season, various participating park managers across the world are getting together for this year's White Mastodon Gift Exchange!

In this festivity, parks choose to send a copy of a species' genome they own into a pool of the others, then the participant parks get a new random one!

Really cool to see two papers more or less back to back that very conclusively reestablish NanoT as a distinct taxon.

it appears plagiorizer William Toosey tries his shit again, that's my Propalorchestes in his "Journey through the Cenozoic".
I suspect this is just the tip of it. Many of these are just other people's work with a new texture slapped on top.
Lots of JRC art here.
