I still need a harvesting mechanic for the crops, the windmill will be way ahead on the tech tree, and the directional light doesn't really match the sky.

The main menu is the first chance to show that your game is high quality. So I've worked on transitions. I calculate a random noise texture and use it to dissolve all my images, texts and other UI elements, using a few custom shaders. More work to be done, but what do you think? #indiegame #gamedev

I'm working on town "quarters" as clickable elements with hover too, so players can bring up menus to upgrade and manage.

The tricky part is a town quarter isn't one element but a collection of overlapping elements...

I'm working on building upgrades in my #CityBuilder.

For residential, now we have yurts as level 1 residential and mud-brick construction as an upgrade once the player get that tech.

Here the view briefly goes into "zoning mode" around the plaza.

Today it’s a living, evolving project with systems, ideas, and a direction I believe in.

Nav volumes by a river in Unity.

In my city builder, navigation is influenced by land steepness, so agents each choose how to cross the creek. At common fording points.

This kind of emergent behavior is one of those moments that really encourages a dev to keep going.
