It's your tinker genet. Viverridae vivacious. Can't see the greymuzzle if already a grey genet. They/them. Maker of things, crisper of circuitry, sculpter of stuff. Ebikes, furry things, electronics tinkering and props.
Oh, so it's like Culture slap-droning, except completely ineffectual and liable to maim someone out of the blue because it's ASIMO but fascist.
in a long life filled with saying stupid shit this is may be the stupidest shit he's ever said

Okay, so:

a) He really did try to stop the shutdown, but he completely failed to contain the eight senators including the party whip, in which case he should resign.

or b) he got tired of his rich-dick donors whining, lied, and whipped eight seats to flip, in which case he should resign.

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

First go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner

The face of a man who is currently very not upset, don't print it in the news that he was upset, he's smiling, it's not a soul-weary grimace now knowing that the most he'll likely lead is a HOA somewhere in Florida.
Speaking to supporters at his election night party in Midtown Manhattan, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo celebrated his campaign's effort and the 42% of a record-high turnout it received.

There's a stack of misbehaving technology waiting for me in the workshop.

It should be wondering why it hears boss music faintly in the distance, growing louder.

Oh, he's gone, is he?

I suggest inhumation in a hazardous waste cask placed in a former salt dome. Future generations should not suffer improper toxic handling.

There are more coyotes of conscience than there are of pure survival. I don't have statistics to back this sentiment, just the feeling of the global howl...
Affirmation Coyote shares the anger of their friends who are facing hunger and skyrocketing health care costs.

For this to happen at the same time that Angry Orange Grandpa is showing off his marble bathroom and hosting swank parties for his swell friends and sycophants just rubs it in.

Ah, I love east Vancouver. Guy shouting obscenities at me because my brakes yowled when I had to brake to not run this guy over for darting diagonally across Commercial drive against the light

Laid the horn on instead. Mate took a grab at me.

Bruv. This is how you get sat on until the cops pop.

It is my entire career to find the problem with a given piece of technology and solve it.

If the problem is user inability to follow repeated requests, I'm just going to alter the device to eliminate the ability to trigger the problem.

This is easier than changing a stubborn human's nature.

There's petty peevishness and then there's hardware hacker petty peevish.

I just added an override to a piece of vent equipment that a well meaning energy conscious coworker keeps shutting off without checking if its still actually in use, so I don't have to go down a floor to switch it back on.

Not fun thing about a large lithium fire:
The weird, heavy-looking smoke is, quite literally, bone hurting gas.

(It's a mixture of halogens, often including fluorine, that only want to make friends with your skeleton or various other ion channels in your body. The bone hurting gas is a frenemy.)
Hey, most of the smoke from the components I work with is merely noxious, not overtly poisonous.

Except the lithium batteries. If those are making yellowish-gray smoke, RUN.

Further muddying the waters:
Every component is also light-emitting and a fuse, if you sufficiently abuse it.

This also applies to the traces in your circuit. Momentarily.
Here's a handy guide to some electronic components.

Non-journalists: PLEASE do not try to reach an understanding with these men. They are a danger to your life and have earned their loneliness. There are so many times in this article where I held my breath and thought "if he knew what you really believed, he'd physically assault you".

Please never allow me to work on your bicycle unless you enjoy Skaven or Ork levels of aggressive repurposing.

I just shoehorned a rear hydraulic caliper and lever onto a front mount because the alternative would have been re-lining and bleeding a front.

Its temporscary.

Welp, once more onto the bike. Definitely riding it soft today; Weather's crap, and there's still some damage to address.
