In grad school I was told a story about someone finding diamond/coesite in the Himalayas and it turned out to be a fluke (a bit of polishing grit or something). Please let the GEO/EAR community know: Program Directors and Mission Support who’ve been at NSF under two years were just terminated via Zoom. Even those of us whose offer letter stated one probationary year and whose government data states “permanent”.

When I told my husband the recent quake we felt in Western MA came from the ocean, his response was 'Cthulhu rises'.
