Very much enjoyed the #blseries Me and Thee.

That post-credit/credit sequence was very silly. GMMThee V 🤣

It's National Year of Reading in the UK & I've been reading queer romance.

Finishing the Game Changers series by @rachelreidwrites.bsky.social (yes, everyone's favourite gay ice hockey players)

Then the excellent Netherford Hall by @natania.bsky.social (queer Pride & Prejudice & Witches)

Been away since Wednesday, so have many #blseries episodes to catch up on. Seen Me & Thee and Fourever You 2.

Partway through Head to Head finale.

Was not expecting to find a Filipino restaurant in a small UK North West coastal town.

First time I've tried Filipino cuisine. The Pork Bicol Express was very tasty.

Reminded today why we only eat at McDonalds about every five years...

Not to my taste. Though mildly surprised I could still get a Fillet-O-Fish... my teenage go to when visiting Beaumont Leys swimming pool. Melton didn't get a McDonalds until I was about 23.

It's @signorfurioso.bsky.social birthday, so go join in with his silly game.

He's managed to keep this joke/game running in various forms for 5 years on another platform!!

I popped the cartilage in my nose by kicking myself in the face.

This was trampolining at school as a teenager. I was doing back bounces & my leg rebounded off the trampoline.
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

😅

Will this be the year I finally get the hang of, or get into the habit of, using Discord?

Lots of communities seem to use it & I'm in several groups... I just tend to forget to login...

There's a work related one I ought to use more.

And perhaps look into groups for other interests?

We're calling for submissions to the Black Archive from disabled authors and authors of colour, who we know have been underrepresented in the range.

Please spread this as widely as you can, as we want it to reach as many eligible authors as possible. Thank you.

Haven't done much die cutting & crafting lately, so decided to try out some of my floral die cuts.

I love making this list every year, and I never have any trouble coming up with 50 things I think were genuinely wonderful.

Sitting a stewing in frustration isn't nearly as cathartic as just designing a poster. Let's see how often I remember that in 2026.

Happy New Year 🎊 folks.

We got out of the habit of celebrating NY when we had a dog for 14 years, as Loki was terrified of fireworks.

Have some NY licks from my parents' dog - who will be barking his head off tonight!

Work out of office on. So hopefully I can stop dreaming about systematic review search strategies for a few weeks 😂

This first point I've been repeating quite often this year, but all the tips are good.
As we wrap up 2025, I wanted to share some of the videos I've made that strike on my pet peeves in #LiteratureReviews, #SystematicReviews, #searching and #EvidenceSynthesis.

A thread. 🧵 #medlibs

Last working morning of the year.

Last slot in my morning is a systematic review 1to1.

Looking at my diary I didn't have any SR 1to1s on the last working day in 2024 but I had two in 2023. So par for the course.

Seems like I started keeping track of my #blseries #kdrama #jdrama #thaidrama #cdrama watches in mid-January this year.

A rough count up suggests I've seen about 90 shows in 2025....

I'm going to need better notes in 2026 to join in with year end round-up challenges 😂

We needed some new giant tea mugs. Pint mug & normal mug for size comparison...

There's not much choice of design, those were the best options.

I’ve read some eye-rolling Heated Rivalry takes, but this one demonstrates such a bad faith interpretation, a misunderstanding of Romance as a genre, and a failure in media literacy and critical thinking skills that I don’t know what to do. 1/

Looking to do interviews on this, especially people amassing BIG collections of a) DVD/Video, b) books, c) CD/Vinyl, d) comics and SPECIFICALLY because of worries about corporate control over streaming/digital media and ESPECIALLY people worried about catastrophic online collapse. Please DM
Does anyone hoard physical media because they’re worried about future access to digital, either through corporate greed/pricing or some actual collapse? Potentially for a thing.
