my generic stance on any negative reviews of my work, should any exist, is the same for any particular instance thereof: go tell the sun it's mid, go tell the first flowers of spring that they fell off, go tell your newborn child it's derivative, you fucking fraud. drink ocean water
Unless a negative review is, like, a hit piece on a work’s creator, to the point of either libel or encouraging others to harass that person, there’s just no reason to engage in the kind of aggressive, defensive, personally insulting way I sometimes see.

I got the term "FRP" from Gary Fine's Shared Fantasy, a fascinating book about the first big wave of roleplaying in the late 1970s. I am not a revanchist about tabletop games, though. the community and the industry that serves it are both very different today, and for good reason

making this account to communicate with others about tabletop. it's only a "professional" account insofar as I'll use it for moneymaking purposes, and not because I think what I'll have to say is particularly marketable. that being said, my personal life is not gonna be on here much at all
