There still seems to be a lot of confusion about significance testing in psych. No, p-values *don’t* become useless at large N. This flawed point also used to be framed as "too much power". But power isn't the problem – it's 1) unbalanced error rates and 2) the (lack of a) SESOI. 1/ >

Vielleicht sollte Trumps Plan zur besseren Abgrenzung besser "orange standard" genannt werden und die Ergebnisse werden dann im "orange science framework" veröffentlicht.

If you work in psychology in a research area without Registered Reports, you will see that the main hypotheses in papers are almost always supported. If your peers publish Registered Reports, you will also have access to null results, which should be very common. doi.org/10.1177/2515...

Good data visualisation is meaningful and interpretable.

Die Daten des Deutschen Wetterdienstes sind da – und sie sind alarmierend.
Deutschlandweit war es von Anfang Februar bis Mitte April noch nie seit Beginn der Auswertung 1931 so trocken wie in diesem Jahr.
