This administration seems intent on censoring art that disagrees with its particular sense of entitlement. So, if you’re looking to support work that is directly opposed to that, my debut poetry collection is now available.

Spent the weekend editing. While I’m grateful for music to make the process more tolerable, editing a manuscript is my absolute least favorite part of the writing process.
Editing a poetry manuscript while listening to Radiohead’s “In Rainbows” is bliss, by the way.

Worst loss I’ve seen in my whole two-plus years as a supporter. I won’t go as far as Howe needs to be on the hot seat, but it’s clear the tactics aren’t working. We cannot allow the summer to keep being our fallback. At some point, this team/these players need to answer the call. #nufc

If only there was a way we could have seen this vile behavior coming beforehand! If only we’d have listened to the smarts instead of those who claim that “experts don’t know anything.”
This is what happens when a monster is elected - they just create more monsters.

Even the FBI is warning ICE that its agents must identify themselves — after criminals exploited that anonymity across multiple states. Who could’ve seen that coming?

While I’ve done a lot of half marathons over the years, I’ve only done one full marathon, which turned out to be a massive disappointment. The back half was literally up and down Seattle suburbs. Even pro runners loathed it.
But… what better time than year 40 to run another 26.2 miles?
Keep going.

Two lit mag rejections over the last few day feels like the crisp air on a fall morning, honestly. I genuinely love rejections, as they make me want to keep going.

As someone who doesn’t often visit where I grew up, but always has feelings when I do, this poem strikes deep.
What's it like to return to your home town years after leaving?

In thinking a lot about fixed spaces and fixed times, I’ve also been doing a lot of thinking about how we often think of the people we encounter as fixed (stationary, set).

Fantastic read.
“The main perspective of the Bible isn’t to tell the poor to get to work but to tell the rich to give generously. The danger in the Bible is not so much that people are lazy as much as the rich are greedy.”

Pouring over the Craig Albernaz content on the #Orioles socials and I’m sold - not because he’s said anything radical about his baseball plans with the team, but because he’s been so vocal about his family, fatherhood, and how they’re going to be around constantly. Love it.

Terrific read. Colbert is too good, too smart, too funny, and too needed to be going anywhere. Luckily, as he states here, he’ll always be creating.

If Christians are constantly worried about “the world,” constantly thinking that everyone who doesn’t think/act like them is demonic or out to get them, then they’ll continue to keep these folks (neighbors of all kinds) at arms-length.
Newsflash: this is the opposite if what Jesus calls us to do.

I am stressed for both teams, neither of which I care about, so I can only imagine the levels inside the stadium in Toronto. What a game, what a series.

On a day lots of Christians frown upon, I find myself (also a Christian) doubling down on the fact that Halloween is fun, inclusive, and joyful. Not everything is demonic, folks.

I really did think Albernaz was the sure thing for the Giants, but I am pretty happy to have been wrong! This is a terrific hire by the #Orioles and I think it’s already a huge step in the right direction this offseason.
I’d add Craig Albernaz to the list, but he seems to be the ideal fit for Posey’s Giants. Ross makes a lot of sense for ATL (and Baltimore, along with Melvin), and Baldelli I think will benefit anywhere since MIN hated spending money. #orioles
