Libraries feel like something about which we could very easily be saying, “Remember that place where you could borrow books, for FREE, and return them when you were finished?” And kids would say “What?? No way!” And yet there they still are, despite everything we’ve become, existing. Remarkable.

Sounds like the ideal weekend to me!
I don't know who needs to hear this, but if all you accomplish this weekend is reading a riveting novel cover-to-cover whilst drinking multiple kettles of tea and consuming a scandalous amount of croissants, then you will have accomplished more than enough.

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Did you know that they had Scotch Eggs in Egypt? Except that they make them with fava bean mash instead of meat.
May have the same root as the Indian Nargisi Kofta which the Brits took back & called a Scotch Egg after excising all the delicious spices

In a stunning feat, a group of astronomers said that it had managed to take the first close-up picture of a star in another galaxy. Not only was the image a distance record for such cosmic intimacy, but the star looks as if it is getting ready to explode.
