It's getting a little hard to stay motivated these days (personally, career-wise and socially). Be kind to others, but remember to be kind to yourself as well.

Looking real sketch with the amount of anatomy and dissection pictures on my phone at the moment.

The fact that my phone won’t let me do anything on it when I have make up on cause FaceID doesn’t recognize me is rude.

Ain't such a bad thing to be looking at while I'm working.

I said 2026 was the year of the adult. Finally convinced my husband we need new sheets and duvet... slowly making forward progress.

Peeps roast me about the fact I teach my students how to ask questions to ChatGPT and ask them for their prompts that got them to the things they are asking me questions about. If they are going to use it no matter what, they might as well use it as efficiently as possible.
“Students already turn to ChatGPT for help, she said. So it is better, she added, that they use a custom bot that is trained to ask reflective questions and responds only in bullet points rather than a product run by “tech bros” that does not have teaching in mind.”

Not sure the Midwesterner in me will ever get over the embarrassment of telling people “it’s cold this morning in southern California”

Nothing will humble you like a “simple” anatomy project for your undergraduates.

I am finally on the mend from my sickness, but now my husband is sick. Not sure what is worse, me being sick or me having to listen to my husband tell me how sick he is (when he's just a little congested).

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

I did an unusual thing for me after a conference and rented a car to sight see a bit. Got a good look at the city and beyond.
