The danger of trying to earn some extra money through camera dealing is that sometimes this is what it feels like

My first Polaroid, time to see what this whole craze is all about.

Every now and then I have to get to the suburbs and truly live up to the "boring" part of my mission statement.

Taken by Rainer Schlegelmilch at Monaco in ’84, this superb pic shows a Toleman TG184, & it’s often been captioned as Ayrton Senna because he raced so brilliantly that day. But the small flash of helmet red shows it’s actually his team-mate Johnny Cecotto, who turns 70 today.

Proper wintery Monte Carlo 😍
Don't quote me on that but it feels like it's been a while

When I scanned this frame for a second I thought it was extremely grainy for some reason but no - that's just frost.

Well, it takes pictures so it's something. But I think my bad solders aren't good enough and it makes the camera overexpose.
It... works? We'll see if it holds and actually takes pictures but right now it seems to be fine. I'm surprised I even got this far considering I'm absolutely awful at soldering.

I see a lot of well meaning people (not OP) who like to talk about countries (usually the ones they're from or have an affinity with) as being steadfast bastions in the new cold war and I cannot stress enough that you have failed the assignment if you think this
i think, however, this is a crystal clear example that the next cold war is actually democracy vs autocracy and the battle lines run right through every single advanced democracy. there aren't really any safe harbors.

Oh yeah, that's the stuff. Xpro'd Ektachrome 64T is a perfect winter film. If only this wasn't my last roll...

Some shots from the monthly roll for the Eastern Standard Photo club. This month was Ferrania P30 and the theme prompt was "layers". Shot on my Pentax Spotmatic with a 1.4 50MM lens.

This photo was taken in 1911 using glass plate technology by Herbert Ponting who was part of Scott's Antarctic expedition,

The composition and detail are exquisite with the band of white snow/ice creating a perfect frame around the two people and the ship in the distance

Iconic imo
