This wall, window and metalwork is detail from a restored mill in Germany, nowadays used very well for other purposes.
HP5+ at 800 ASA. Yellow filter.
A BnW print of old brickwork. It is part of a former mill, sitting next to the river. Top left is metal pipework, used as a drain / gutter from the roof. It finishes looking like a horn or trumpet ..... a hint as to the buildings use as a small music venue. There is also a metal paddle as used by canoeists ...... a hint as to the location, with white water competitions and training taking place there. On the right is a window.

I visited, and wandered around a small provincial town when in Germany. In the back streets I came upon this. It was difficult to judge whether this business closed either 5 or 20 years ago. Was it digital, or retirement?

Just for the record, and it’s insane that the mad king made me look this up, there is documentation of the US giving up all claim to Greenland to Denmark when we bought the Virgin Islands from them in 1916.

The sun didn't dominate every day in Dec in Germany. On these occasions I meandered and looked for shapes and compositions.

I took this image in Germany in December. HP5 at 800 ASA, orange filter.
I did a 5x7 G2 test print last week, but it lacked something.
This is a 10x8, split graded print, that gives a bit better contrast, depth and detail.

December in Germany there was sometimes clear, strong, low sun. This provided patterns of light and shadow ..... so I attempted to capture images featuring this.
