No digitalising setup, so mostly images posted are hand-held phone snaps of silver halide prints; often small, straight test ones.
Out of the two formats, I think I prefer the X Pan rendition, but I have never been naturally drawn into super wide letterbox (horizontal or vertical) imagery.

I do enjoy my FP4 and HP5 ...... but perhaps I will have to check my piggy bank and self arrange a Christmas pressie!

Maybe I will give it a go. I may even try using the DSLR to photo my prints, as I think my hand-held shakey phone ones are not doing them any favours. Reflections from the pearl finish paper are ugh.

When I see the great clarity you are posting on here, with the detail in this image as a fine example - it makes me very conscious of my phone snap method of posting my prints seems very inadequate. My version of the scanner being a 6 year old, bottom range phone!
