Been having a good time using the new - and very pretty - @yaak.app API Client by @schier.co. Since I work with Laravel a lot, I wrote a quick plugin to make authentication via Sanctum easier (iykyk). Link to the Github repo below if you need it

In 2024, Yaak went from a private side project to 6k monthly active users and got its first paying customers 🚀

After 8 months working full-time on Yaak, I’m excited to have finally landed on a business model that I think benefits everyone.
📢 Yaak is ditching plans for cloud sync for local-first.

To stay sustainable, commercial use of provided prebuilt binaries now requires a license.

If Yaak powers helps you do work, your support keeps it growing—simple, fair, and (still) open-source. 🙏

A while back I told @schier.co that I wanted to post more here. He asked me what I might talk about and I didn't have an answer – I don't really feel like I have a lot to say 😅

Lately I've been having fun writing some songs with friends so maybe I'll just share some music instead of words.

Some nice tools in comments 👌
Setting up my new macbook. What are your fav setup guides or must use tools?

Some I know of:
www.swyx.io/new-mac-setup (maybe @swyx.io has an update with his new mac)
sourabhbajaj.com/mac-setup/
• Tools: brew, zsh, wisprflow, obsidian, cursor, iterm, uv, pnpm, raycast

Am I missing anything?

if you have laravel jobs that need to run almost in real-time and can be discarded if delayed, use the "retryUntil" method

one example is notifications—no point delivering them to a user’s UI if they’re over 30 seconds late
