3 months from launching a paid plan, Yaak passed $250 MRR.

57 customers from 6k monthly active users (1% conversion).

Only 40x left to go to get to $10k MRR -- a sustainable income ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

LFG
I don't miss it at all. The way I use ai, it still feels like I'm writing it. Just don't have to do the typing.

Me 1y ago: I don't want to be a programmer if I'm just managing agents

Me today: I love just managing agents!!

I spent a lot of 2025 worrying whether Yaak would actually work.

Growth stalled for 6 months but then I won the lottery with Postman having an outage.

Ended up at 10x with $1,900 MRR. Just one more 10x to be sustainable!

2025 Year in Review
A year ago I had just launched Yaakโ€™s commercial-use license and was sitting at $160 MRR. It was a gambleโ€ฆ

What will your moat be in 2026?

Why do no LLM chat interfaces have a sidebar (or something) to jump up to my previous input?

So hard to scroll up past a bunch of stuff to look for the top of a long response.

So excited for the next Yaak release. So much good stuff coming.

I use a git checkout hook to copy the files

Just got Yaak working properly with git worktrees!

It was actually way harder than expected:

- Generate env file with incremented port numbers
- Ensure shared DB state works across multiple dev instances
- Copy over some gitignored files (editor configs)

Yep! A bit slow near year-end, but I think it'll pick up again soon

How should I organize this info now that you'll be able to see there request body, request headers, and full transaction timeline?

December recap for @yaak.app

๐Ÿ’น MRR: $1,879 (+11%)
๐Ÿ’ฐ Revenue: $6800 (+166%)
๐Ÿ’ผ Subscribers: 360 (+11%)

December slowed down a lot towards the end, but revenue spiked from a delayed 33-seat payment from last month! ๐Ÿฅณ

Annual recap coming soon. 2026 is going to be INSANE ๐Ÿš€

I see a lot more of my friends shipping apps because LLMs make it so easy. Then they get abandoned or fizzle out.

Being successful is still as hard as it always was. The easy part (code) is just easier.

Wanted to play with Expo again, so had Claude whip up a quick app to view Yaak stats.

Uses my existing OAuth (from Yaak CLI)

Funny that most of us hated pair programming before. Now we're all doing it ๐Ÿ˜…

ANOTHER BIG ONE!

New timeline to provide an experience similar to "curl -v"
December 21, 2025 at 9:41 PM
FINALLY, see the exact headers Yaak sent with a request.

I implemented form handling, redirects, and compression (previously handled by reqwest) to make this possible.

Let me know what other details you want exposed.
