Fun bit of aviation history in Lexington. I found pictures I took when Air Force One landed at Blue Grass Airport. It's rare to see an aircraft of this size, not to mention significance in Central KY. I remember it looked like it took nearly the whole runway to get airborne. #avgeek

We’ve seen towns rebuild since the March 2012 tornado outbreak, but I had never considered that those tornadoes also decimated parts of the forest. Much of that debris will remain where it fell until nature takes its course, which can be a challenge for rescuers.

The Wolfe County Search and Rescue Team has been busy as fall comes to a close. Their team of volunteers has logged 73 missions so far this year.
