Re: U.S. CECOT detainees, the main q is NOT 'did they ever allegedly commit a crime?'

Rather: Is the US allowed to deliver them into lifetime imprisonment in a notorious Salvadoran prison camp without charge, trial, sentencing, or consideration of international/asylum/anti-torture law?

Clearly no!

Since the Trump admin continues to claim Mr. Abrego Garcia is a gang member, I thought I'd take the time to put together a timeline, based on all the documents filed in court, which lays out all the "evidence" the government has ever offered.

As you'll find out, there's very little "there" there!

Before folks overreact to headlines about the judge’s ruling in the Khalil case, please note that (1) it was an immigration judge (IJ), not a federal district court; and (2) the IJ had no power to consider Khalil’s constitutional objections.

This particular decision was a fait accompli.

When asked how Americans will afford higher car prices under his new 25% auto part tariffs, Trump was blunt:

“I couldn’t care less if they raise prices.”
“I hope they raise their prices.”

This isn’t policy—it’s economic sabotage. 🧵

The IRS unit that audits ultrawealthy earners has lost 38% of its employees this year.

This will starve the government of revenue by making it easier for the rich to evade taxes — which the top 1% already do to the tune of $163B a year.

See what DOGE is really about?

There is a LOT of reporting on IMLS right now, but it's being done by people who know what it is. The DOE being dismantled is overshadowing this and that's being done INTENTIONALLY.

But anyway, DOGE is in the IMLS offices right now destroying it.

Say goodbye to interlibrary loans + more.

As predicted, women in New Hampshire had a hard time voting yesterday because of the new proof of citizenship law:

“It doesn’t have my married name on it,” she said. Town voting officials then sent her away a second time, to get her marriage certificate.

NH’s new ID requirements send some would-be voters home to grab passports, birth certificates
The law requires all new voters to show proof of their U.S. citizenship. For some, that meant making multiple trips to and from the polls before finally casting a ballot on Tuesday.

I am burning with rage. I made the mistake of looking at “my” senators’ websites. They are misbegotten sycophants flailing in the darkness of their shriveled, sniveling existence. I will call their offices and tell them this as soon as I am calm enough to keep from simply screaming into the phone.
