When gleefully buying new, beautiful matched sets of my favourite books (behaviour which I'm sure the authors themselves approve of!), I never stopped to think about the fact that I have limited shelf space. Where do the old beloved, raggedy, stained versions of my books go? Book heaven? #booksky

Still a few days left to get this incredible bundle of 32 books of trans fiction by trans authors. You'll be helping a lot of authors and getting some very good books by supporting this bundle, including my trans dragon tale, Dragon's Soul.

Bargain! (yes, I think Amazon is evil too, but sometimes this is the only place queer books and indie/self pubbed writers can distribute and they deserve to be read, so...) Metal from Heaven by August Clarke is $1.99 on kindle/kobo in the US and $2.99 in Australia! www.amazon.com/Metal-Heaven...

Can I love this enough? Probably not. I never seem to love things a normal amount. One of my fave writers dissects another fave writer on a subject I feel passionate about. Go. Read. reactormag.com/everyones-in...

Too true!! It takes more effort to hunt them down elsewhere but worth it!
If you're boycotting indie ebooks on Amazon and *not* seeking them out elsewhere, you are not actually helping the movement for readers to divest.

Me, screaming on behalf of struggling indie authors, HARD SECOND THIS.

The ASA welcomes the Albanese Government’s decision to rule out a Text and Data Mining (TDM) exception to Australian copyright law, which would have allowed for AI training on authors’ work.

Tech developers will not have a "free pass" to use creative works to train AI systems, but advocates say more protections are needed against copyright theft.

I need lesbian/queer/sapphic fantasy artist (think hyper realistic dragons, mythical figures, monsters) who is open for commissions and has time to do some work for me NOW. Ready to pay good rates, need finished product/s within ~3 months. Recommendations (or handraisers!) please?

How have I gone my whole life only NOW hearing about the idea of giving a book advent calendar to someone as a holiday gift? Genius.

OMG. Counting down 48 hours until @nicolaz.bsky.social re-release of the Aud Torvingen series released in Australia! Pre-ordered since May. Finally a lovely matching set. Good timing too, the cover just fell off my well-read copy of The Blue Place I’ve owned forever.

A brilliant character and a plot that's going places are enough for me. I don't need flowery, gorgeous language, and sometimes that's just a distraction - straightforward language and authenticity will connect with me.
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat

Leans HEAVILY towards romance as this site tends to (and I'm good with that!). There's some great titles on this list, and it's nice coverage for indie and lesser known writers.
