Caught myself thinking “there’s plenty of queer fiction and queer authors being published” and then remembered I see it mostly because I deliberately seek it out. If you didn’t, it’d still be mostly invisible.

Queer people have always been here, but our culture is still emerging. Yes I listen to queer music, read queer writers, and watch queer film. I have a choice to watch anything I want and I choose to try and shine a light on emerging queer voices. I’m just one person, but so are we all.
