Good morning, Bluesky. I have been getting a few new followers and felt I should reintroduce myself. I'm Scott; #husband, #father, newly #DisabledVeteran, #Nurse, #photographer living in Southern Nevada. Here are a few of my photos there are more at ScottWGonzalez.com.

The creek disappears into the distance and is bordered by orange and yellow leafed Aspen. Comet c/2023 a3 and the Milkyway in a dark blue night sky with many stars over a mountain range. Between the foreground plants and the mountains other vegetation is visible.

I saw somewhere that the #BirdoftheDay post was supposed to be #blue. Here is the first and only time I photographed a Mountain Blue Bird.

The photo was taken during the day and the sun is lighting the scene from the left of the frame. The bird's body is in profile facing towards the left and its head is turned towards the camera and the right. The abdomen is a pale brilliant blue that becomes white towards the legs that are black. The wings are folded down and in shadow, they are a dark sapphire blue. Its eyes are black as is its small beak. The background is blurred the bottom sixth is green and the rest is a pale blue grey.

Running late on #StunDay which just happened to be #Superb_Owl day. Here is one of the Great Horned Owletts that I came across in Sunset Park in #LasVegas Looks like it caught and scored a #touchdown to me. Marked sensitive for the catch.

It has been a while since I have been sick on my birthday. The flu kicked my ass for the last 2 days, I am currently on the mend. I got useful gifts (a theater projector and new comfy slippers) and one thoughtful one (pictured).
A birthday card that says HAPPY BiRTHDAY in a large font in the middle that slightly arcs down at the ends. Love you lots! Happy happy birthday! For your present you can punch one hole in this card. Every hole you punch = 1 bird watching tri with me, your eldest daughter! Yayyy! This is spread out in a small white font centered and spread across the lower part of the card. Below that are 5 circles about the diameter of a standard pencil. Across the bottom of the card is a line of cartoon candles of various heights and angles. The background of the card is purple with yellow stars across the top.

The buns and bread we have in the house are stale so this was my #dinner. I didn't realize until after I started cooking the #hamburger patty. It looks like a keto diet* to me.
*Never been on a keto diet so I could be wrong.

Had a late night shower thought.
I'm more likely to be killed by a cop than I am a shark, a wolf, a crocodile is comparable worldwide vs US cop. One of the only things that kills more than cops is the Christian God. Between 14 and 100 mil people in the flood. Should I be scared of God?

We did the last #Christmas get together last night. Gemma decided to put this gift tag from my Mom to my Wife on my back. It is definitely fitting. Is it just me or does my back look huge?

We are gathering peacefully in Winnemucca to call on Congress to do its job.
The Constitution gives Congress, not the President, the power to authorize war and foreign military action.
This is about accountability, the rule of law, and standing up for democracy.

A screenshot of the Walmart website. It shows an n95 mask then smaller pictures under the main image. Below that it says count 240 then there are options to check 20 for 12.99 or 240 for 9.99.

So I almost never shop at Walmart. Literally 2 times in 10+ years. I saw something that said they had inexpensive n95 masks. 240 3m 1870+ masks for $9.99. Not sure if it is a mess up or what.

Happy #Stunday! I am going to be in an exhibit next month about #Vegas. I don't often take pics of cities. I have a few they want portrait though, so I am even more limited.
