I’ve read this book, it spoke to the heart of what I try to do in my classroom, teach students to think critically, ask questions and understand their role in a democracy. Thank you, Randi Weingarten, for reminding us that defending public education is at the heart of defending democracy itself.

Built my campaign website this weekend. Trial and error, late nights, and a few lost pages along the way. It isn’t perfect, but it’s real. I’ll keep improving it, hoping people see my heart and desire to serve. Like democracy, it can be messy but worth the fight.

If there was ever book that should read, it is this one! Education has been under attack for years, and it has been by design. Randi Weingarten clearly calls out the attacks for what they are, an attempt to dismantle the cornerstone of democracy and lead us all into the dark depths of tyranny.

Trump asked the Supreme Court to let him withhold food aid during the shutdown, and tonight they agreed. That means families, children, and seniors who rely on SNAP could go hungry while billionaires get tax cuts.
