This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

If you take seriously the idea that we need to have zero trade deficit with every country, we better get to helping massively develop every poor country until they’re rich enough to afford our high value manufactured goods. Sounds like a job for USAID.

We used to joke that the average American has forgotten the farm and thinks their food comes from grocery stores. Now it turns out that there is a subset that thinks it arrives fully prepared and isn’t even aware of the grocery stage.
