The media needs to stop calling it a peace plan. It's a Republican surrender plan for Europe. Why? Because Republicans have embraced fascist plutocracy and Europe isn't.

Trump’s signals to Zelensky and Europe: Accept this plan or you’re on your own | CNN
The 28-point plan hammered out by US and Russian envoys and put to Ukraine this week came with a deadline and an implicit threat: Sign up or face the risk of being abandoned.

We’re about to invade Venezuela because trump wants their oil. No other reason. The airspace has been cleared. Embassies are being evacuated. Flights are being canceled.

He’s going to kill people for oil.

With that said, sure, I am more liberal than I used to be, but some of that also might be age. (Easier to be in favor of the death penalty, for example, when you’re young and brash and you think you’re immortal.)
The thing is, we can disagree about all kinds of policies, and still fundamentally agree on some basic principles of government. I think many of us have rediscovered that, which is one good thing that comes out of all this.
What's wild is that I'm not only just as solidly progressive and left leaning as ever, I'm in fact more left leaning and progressive as I've ever been *at the same time as* I haven't disagreed with anything that David Frum and Tom Nichols have said or written in the last decade. Thanks, Atlantic.

I think it should be a mandatory job requirement that the chair of the DNC be social media savvy with a strong presence on camera.

Ken Martin doesn’t have those skills and doesn’t seem to want to invest in fixing that.

EVERY special election should be all over social media. It is a massive

Mamdani seems like he has the Bill Clinton magic quality of being able to make anyone talking to him feel special (I think even Newt felt charmed by Clinton in person!). Trump loves him lol

Hahahaha

To be fair, that one meeting was with someone who he characterized as a communist Jew-hater jihadist who was going to crash New York City to boot.

Go figure.
The entire world is perplexed because the President of the United States appeared cordial in one meeting.

That’s how crazy this timeline is.

Pete Buttigieg would be a good DNC spokesperson.

He would do a GREAT job of going around the country, being on TV all the time, and putting out Dem messaging on EVERY issue.

He would be an excellent counter-Leavitt. And we NEED one. He should be holding regular press conferences and putting

The writers have done a spectacular job this season revamping their fascinating "Marjorie Taylor Greene" character. The suspense over what she will do next is compelling. A lot of things are going on with MTG, maybe some good, others bad, and we won't know exactly what for two or more seasons.

The kind of political aplomb it took to go the WH, get the boot of the admin off of NYC’s neck, get TACO to kneecap Stefanik, while bewildering MAGA (as well as Cuomo and Adams),

and to leave without a scratch….

impressive doesn’t even begin

This is do-able and would fix a LOT of problems. Far more realistic than trying to cover the Constitution in wite-out
Easiest fix: expand the House. Then the # of electoral votes for each state would be more in proportion with their population.

The President called for the murder of Congressional Democrats.

Congressional Democrats should call for his immediate removal or resignation.

Congressional Republicans should condemn his statements and call for him to recant them.

It's the very least they should be doing!

Oh that's cute. Given all the efforts Trump and his GOP henchmen are going to, you think there will still be fair elections. I guess then that it will be a prerequisite that he succeeds in stealing an election before his government can be call fascist.
