After being hired by a school for book week, YA author
Will Kostakis was then asked "if it's possible skip over the same sex components when discussing his story and books." And it's not a new story! He's written an article for All The Het Non:

The Marvels was SO GOOD!

Like The Avengers but diverse!

Love being the only person in my team with Optus.

Put me in a very awkward position of having no idea if I should try to go into the office or not, because I had no idea if work had internet. Meanwhile, work DOES have internet and all my colleagues have been online all day 🫠

our society is becoming incredibly hostile to creative types who are extremely uncomfortable on camera
I just saw an *art residency* where they're looking for artists who are "early career, comfortable on camera"
- ie, young and cute 😞

I have to work 2.5 hours this weekend to make up for falling behind.

This week I have a kid psychiatrist appointment and my brother is arriving from Canada so I probably will fall behind again. Plus I desperately need a massage (dr’s orders)

Miss 13 has to get an iron infusion for anaemia (she’s so anaemic she keeps losing her balance ☹️)

She was so brave yesterday while the nurse and GP spent 45 minutes trying to find a suitable vein. 6 punctures later and they had to call it quits

Tiana and Sabriel are telling me to stop working and feed them (it’s not even close to their dinner time)

My expectation around what support my asd/adhd kid would get going into high school was pretty low. I was expecting some box ticking. Boy was I wrong.

Some very obviously unwell people on the train. Unmasked, naturally.

Starting Monday morning feeling exhausted is a whole thing.

I’ve had a headache all day, so husband is being very accomodating about letting me choose what we watch.

He suggested Loki and then laughed at me when I said that I can’t face Sylvie’s new haircut right now.

My GP gently told me that my adhd medication is a “baby dose” and should I perhaps try going up a level with the aim of ultimately putting me on a once a day tablet.

Yesterday was my first day tritrating up and I woke up with the most horrendous headache at 330am

I look so cute today but I’m too self conscious to take selfies in public 👎🏻

The children’s dad must’ve known his historical shitty behaviour was causing me issues (his ears must’ve been burning) because he decided to declare that he’s demanded a review of one of the kid’s NDIS funding

Yesterday was a bit rough.

I’ve been chasing down why I’m paying loading on my private health and it turned out to be a mistake made by Bupa way back in 2019 which I’ve already told them about at least twice.

BACKLIST TIME! (It's not a thing but I'm making it a thing)

SFFH people: What's a story you've written that you are particularly proud of or want more people read? Caveats are:
- It can't have won any awards
- It has to have been published 2022 or before

As a fellow, fellow editor, I concur. Always, without question, add dragons.
As a fellow editor, it's my duty to agree. There are very few hard and fast rules in book writing, but this is one of them.

Adding a dragon is always a good idea.
Adding more dragons is an even better idea.

Weird question, but ok.

Regular body wash, fancy body wash if I want to smell nice. Head & shoulders if I have pimples. Face wash, gel exfoliator, shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner.

So around 8 not including razor, scalp scrubber and exfoliating glove.
How many different cleaning products do you use in a typical shower?

You know that thing where you break up with a friend (and friendship break ups are, in my opinion, worse than romantic ones) and then you leave them in your past but then they pop up again as a teacher at a friend’s kid’s school?

That. Feels weird.

It’s only Monday night. I’m too tired for it to only be Monday night.

It’s not like this is even a busy week! No kid appointments at all, aside from the Telehealth call this arvy!
