Seattle-based game marketing goon at Pokémon. Formerly Capcom & Six Foot. I also love writing, photography, and world travel. All views and opinions are both my own and likely based on a Simpsons quote.
I got this game as a Christmas gift, and, it being one of like eight N64 games I ever fully owned, I tried to convince myself so hard that it was actually fun to play. Still have a soft spot for it.

This is by far my favorite genre of spam/phishing email. I am just always tickled by the very concept of an email marketing system that - from the moment you sign up - actively encourages you to unsubscribe.

Looking at all the Game of the Year nominees - and all the games that didn't get nominated - the only thing I can think is, "Wow, this was a good year for game output! I wish the industry was in better shape."

On Halloween, my wife finally gave in to my months-long campaign to get her to watch Sinners, and she's been listening to the soundtrack since. I feel accomplished.

If you haven't already found them, I recommend looking up the musical group Clamavi De Profundis. They do several LOTR-inspired songs, and their version of Durin's Song has been a way to calm my son for six years.

Currently 50 pounds down since I started actively losing weight this year. Still a bit to go before reaching pre-COVID level, but very close. Only question is if I'll be able to fit into my nice suit for our Christmas party this year.

I don't think you're far enough in to really change that, even with the patch. Even with the base game, going to the Surface was essential as part of the main story progression. It isn't like there's Surface is a "sequel" to the Underworld.

100% not speaking on behalf of the company, but one of Satoshi's core philosophies when creating Pokémon was the excitement of a truly new discovery, which was similar to his childhood of collecting insects and finding a novel one. That is still in the DNA, so they try to keep some things hidden.
