They had me thinking mental illness is scary until someone who has one was staring back at me in the mirror. And then I realized it wasn't actually me that was the threat.

Disabled people have reported having Do Not Resuscitate orders placed in their medical files without consent.
In the UK people with learning disabilities were sent letters urging them to voluntarily sign DNRs

There were actual plans made to take disabled people off oxygen if there were shortages in many countries.
So not only has it been life-or-death for them to mask for the last (nearly) 5 years, they know if they slipped when a new pathogen pops up, they'll be "made comfortable."
