I wonder why the price difference constantly persists in English vs German media. There's always a difference of like 15m€

Für 150 Millionen Euro ist Florian Wirtz zum FC Liverpool gewechselt. Wie spielt man die erste Premier-League-Partie mit so einem Preisschild? So lala.

I'm planning on continuing to talk about Thomas Partey, Arsenal and rape culture as long as it is a problem within football

An Open Letter to Arsenal Football Club
Today, the news broke that Thomas Partey, an Arsenal player until the beginning of this month, is being prosecuted for five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

A very serious discussion needs to be had about rape culture in football. This isn’t the first and it’s not going to be the last.

His teammates and other footballers (some we consider to be good people) have all shown support for him over social media. This is a disturbingly deep-rooted issue.

It's shameful that we were even considering renewing him.

The people at the top of the club were not blind to this situation, and still considered it in the interests of sporting expedience.

Lessons should be learned.

re the “unnamed player,” if the club truly felt it couldn’t legally act, then the contract expiration is the perfect out. any form of renewal or extension is a stamp of approval and tells everyone, especially the victims, that actions have no consequences.

Arsenal FC is promoting a murderous regime - and making money from it. Time to ditch the "VISIT RWANDA" partnership, which should never have been struck to start with, and bin those shirts.
