I think a lot of social networks have hurt folks to the point where they carry a ton of highly toxic priors with them across the internet, leading to a ton of kind of crappy downstream effects.

I think a lot of people would be a ton happier if they were more willing to say, “I have absolutely no idea, but I’d be willing to learn more.”

I'm wondering what percentage of the people (even those who really want to crush their enemies) are just reacting to never *actually* having good moderation. I mean, the best we had on twitter was 1) sharable blocklists, 2) some help from twitter employees to suspend accounts. that's garbage.
