Confirmed: ICE Is Arresting American Citizens—and Lying About It
A government that flouts the Fourth Amendment and then lies about it to courts and the people has crossed a moral and legal frontier.

I'm taking a fast.ai course, using their AI-integrated process notebook for 'the "solveit method", a modern approach to building software, writing, solving problems, and learning.' Just started Monday: looking very interesting.

Profound thinking on software craftsmanship and AI. I've always loved REPLs for similar reasons.

The problem with JD's response is that it acknowledges the statements were problematic, but excuses them instead of corrects them. Correction helps someone understand where the boundary is.

Same for all these excuses: "boys will be boys", "it was just a joke", "it's locker-room talk" &c. (1/7)
It's telling that Vance's first instinct following the Politico leak was to tell his sons to be wary of what they write in group chats--to assume “some scumbag is going to leak it in an effort to try to cause you harm.”

His message here is basically--be racist; just don't get caught.

Calling Trump’s assault on democracy an “alternate reality” seems like a clear case of Jackson beclowning herself.

Attorney General Bondi recently threatened to put me in jail. Now, the President has threatened to put the Illinois governor and Chicago mayor in jail.

This is about as authoritarian as it gets.

Wikipedia: "..."the globalists" was popularized by the US far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones ... now frequently used as a pejorative by far-right movements and conspiracy theorists. ... sometimes associated with antisemitism, [who] frequently appropriate the term "Globalist" to refer to Jews."
UPDATE: now DHS says "globalists" will be blocked "from ever entering our country."

Worried about job losses? Think it's because of #AI? Think again.
17k job cuts are linked to AI, while 294k come from "DOGE actions".
That's 17 caused by #DOGE for every one caused by AI.
Now you know who to blame.

This is unAmerican and wrong.
“The government sometimes makes brief, investigative stops to check the immigration status of those who gather in locations where people are hired for day jobs such as construction, landscaping, agriculture or car washes…and who do not speak much if any English.”
-Justice Kavanaugh
One day after the Supreme Court lifted the ban on racial profiling, federal agents swarmed a car in Van Nuys.

Four masked agents with guns drawn yanked people out, slammed them to the ground, and pointed a weapon at a pregnant woman.

There is no justification for this. None.

"The same people who spent decades lecturing about states’ rights and federal overreach now cheer the most dramatic federal military deployment against local authority in modern American history. What changed wasn’t constitutional principle—it was who holds the whip hand."
It's so simple, the MAGAs want the America that used to be.

Not the America of their childhood, rather the America that didn't allow women or black people to vote.

They want the caste system that used-to-be that was being deconstructed by the courts.
