Hope you’re having a good 2026 so far. It’s too early to say what these first few hours of the new year mean for the rest of the year, but much of what the future holds for us individually is in our hands. More time spent on creative work this year will be in mine. I’ll be glad to share more later.

Finally got the last 8 DI ports powered. I like these units because they can be powered with 48v, so I don’t need separate power connections for them. My Presonus mixer seems to handle 24 48v inputs quite well.

I started into the lower level 9 difficulty songs in Jubeat recently and I'm at the "flounder through the chart to barely pass it" stage of practice. There are days I like to stick within the comfort zone, and days I like to challenge where that boundary is.

Leveled up my production skills a little bit by ducking some instrument tracks using the vocal signal. It solved a problem where the vocal section was a bit crowded. It lets the instruments come through where they should but the vocals stay clear.
