Timing the mowing of lawn and spreading fertilizer in South Central Texas during a drought is an art form, and I absolutely freaking nailed it this afternoon. Literally tossing weed and feed as the early drops started to fall.

Entry-level meteorologist positions (I think 40 of them) are posted! I promise the NWS is still an amazing place to work and full of wonderful, passionate people. And we are going to need more great people, with all kinds of skill sets.
NWS is hiring! Are you interested in working for an agency that uses science and technology to protect lives and property? Additional mission-critical positions just posted on usajobs.gov, including Meteorologist (1340) openings. Many are great opportunities for first-time hires. More coming soon!

I truly feel for the staff at NWS San Antonio #ewx . They did everything they could leading up to the events of the past 48 hours and continue to do so for the ongoing storms. They do not deserve any arm chair reviews or questions on their readiness or abilities.

The ultimate play.... Rename it for a Confederate General and THEN field commission the cop to be the ship's commanding officer...
I assume they’ll rename the ship for a Confederate general or a maybe a cop who shot a kid in the back

If we hadn't seen what Mitch has done in Pop's absence I think most Spurs fans would be flying their Spurs flags upside down rather than at half mast today.
Gregg Popovich is retiring from coaching, Spurs say.

I’m so confused by the folks who said that raising the minimum wage would increase the price of every day goods while also being okay with tariffs raising the price of every day goods…

I reckon they are okay paying higher prices as long as it doesn’t help anyone making a minimum wage.

As a citizen of San Antonio, where this scene was filmed, I've always been jealous of the folks that live where a light jacket is worn at the end of April.... we approach Holy Sweat Balls levels of heat/humidity here in April.
Apr 25th - The perfect date, it's not too hot, not too cold. All you need is a light jacket.

Party of states right ammiright???
This new White House executive order says that the US Attorney General is going to prevent states from implementing democratically passed laws regarding climate change and clean energy. It scarcely needs stating at this point that this is wildly, unambiguously unconstitutional. Dictator shit.

Make it 7 now

American assembled Japanese car. Saw it coming the day after the election and purchased at end of November.
I know six separate people who bought cars last December, even if they couldn't quite afford it, because they knew tariffs were coming and didn't want to risk it. These are just random folks, albeit left-leaning ones. How was this so hard for the masters of the universe to believe?
I'm watching CNBC. These anchors are so angry. They really didn't believe he'd do it. They're actually just now, 10 years into this shit, realizing he's a maniac hellbent on revenge and there's no grand plan for the markets. Better late than never but holy shit.
