I am confused by this claim. Certainly Russia is a problem and Ukraine actually needs support but the numbers don't appear to stack up for her claim? Why fearmonger like that when the main thing Russia has is a willingness to throw bodies at its causes, not money?

I'm so, so angry. Absolute political cowardice, and the legitimisation of political hate. Get in the bin, Keir.

Tony Blair Institute have released a report which is getting a lot of coverage in UK today

It says the drive for net zero emissions is flawed and some media outlets have gone to town

However it’s a bit odd

By odd, I mean there’s a lot of bollocks in it and shouldn't be taken seriously 🧵🧵

This is getting ridiculous now. It's common for there to be signs up to say that the cleaner is not the same gender - there was a male cleaner in the service station I used yesterday. If people can manage that, they can cope with the presence of trans people.

Sex isn't actually as binary as the UK court ruling is making out.
1 in 2000 humans are born intersex - that adds up to a considerable number.
That's just those who are visibly different.
Sex chromosome differences exist (eg XO, XYY)
We are still learning about how the brain develops and functions.

Development of the embryo is prone to issues and a surprising amount of babies are born physically intersex, so it's no surprise that there are people who are neurologically a different gender to their physical body, making the basis of this law nonsense.
