This is the star Sirius! It is the brightest star in the night sky. Sirius is almost twice as bright as Canopus, the next brightest star! It is also twice as massive as the sun! It is located 8.6 light years away. #astronomy @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social

Last one was in 1936 (44 squared) and next one will be in 2116 (46 squared).
