A 300-pound Asian elephant calf was born at the National Zoo early Monday, the zoo announced.

The calf, a female, is the first elephant to be born at the zoo in almost 25 years, and only the third born there in the zoo’s 136-year history. https://wapo.st/49X44LH

happening this morning in Minneapolis -- ICE agents drawing guns on observers. I reiterate again that it is only a matter of time before DHS kills more innocent people in Minnesota. Congress needs to shut this shit down right now.

I remember Trump announcing he would be their "protector". That they are safe now under his protection 🙄
Crockett: "Now my colleagues want to be the protectors of girls & women. I didn't hear them screaming this when Renee Good was killed in the middle of the street by the same people the vast majority of you just voted to give more money to. It was a lot of crickets, including about the Esptein files"

There has to be an investigation into the many individuals who committed heinous crimes alongside Epstein.

There should be a special prosecutor, or a congressional investigation, that looks into the crimes and the ongoing cover-up. It has to happen.

James Comer is bringing Hillary Clinton before his committee to testify about Epstein despite having zero contact with him, but not Epstein’s neighbor Howard Lutnick who lied about his connections to Epstein over many years which is proven in the files.

Amazon just announced another round of 16,000 layoffs, months after it laid off 14,000 workers.

Reminder that Amazon CEO Andy Jassy raked in over $40M in 2024.

And Amazon is spending at least $75 million producing and promoting the Melania documentary.

The system is rigged.

They just did a massive increase last year for an all-time record military budget. Now Trump wants 50% more while we are approaching $40 trillion in debt.

The Mad King wants more war toys and his sycophants are afraid to say no.

The Trump administration is giving Iowa more say over how it spends federal money for education, opening the door for other states to do away with some of the rules that govern how they are allowed to spend taxpayer dollars.
Trump administration gives Iowa education waiver, more states may follow
Iowa becomes the first state to receive a waiver giving it more control over federal education funds, and potentially paving the way for other states to follow suit.

Schumer needs primaried!
Senate Democrats walked away empty-handed, and don’t let anyone tell you different.

Tim Kaine and the others bought the lie that Republicans would negotiate on extending the ACA subsidies. They won’t.

Dems got played, Schumer failed to keep his caucus together, and the American people got nothing.

In all the chaos, I would urge folks to remember that a lot of folks now don’t know when their next check will come.

Day 1 - US Gov shutdown, not because the lights went out or the bills couldn’t be paid, but because billionaires needed their tax cuts bubble-wrapped. Federal workers furloughed, services shuttered, but don’t worry—the one percent is safe, and that’s apparently all that matters.

1) Plaintiff is natural born.
2) He was detained 2X in a fast-growing part of Alabama, not in a city that Brett Kavanaugh could be easily duped into believing was all migrants.
3) Unwarranted detentions were on private property.
4) He showed Real ID both times.
