I grew up with very hot summers. I forget that a good portion of the country can’t handle this kind of heat. I now live in a place that didn’t need to use AC not too long ago. Now it is almost a must-have for a good part of the summer. It’s only going to get worse.

A reminder. Have a “fire book”. A binder that has your important papers in them. Birth certificates, social security cards, contact information for insurance, any immigration paperwork, etc. Make sure everyone knows where it is. So if you have to evacuate you have everything together. Grab and go.
